Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptySun May 17, 2015 7:28 am

Meera’s Establishment, Drakstone
(Exactly 1 week after chapter 1)

Chapter 2: The Pit Chp2
Meera had her fighters trained for only three days. Normally she wouldn’t let them fight in the pits with less than two months training but her circumstances have changed ever since the sabotage that happened in the past. The time for the Grand Arena Battle has come and on the eve of the third day, Meera and all her crew boarded ships and sailed for Drakestone, leaving their homeland behind.  The slaves were kept in the lower bowels of the ship inside iron cages and chained to one another. Food and fresh was delivered to them three times a day to keep their strengths up. Some of her fighters were compliant; some had to be made compliant. Meera was very hard on her fighters given the short amount of time they had to train for the Pit, and her determination to get even with her rival who wronged her and killed all her previous fighters.

Shortly after the events on Chapter 1, the Earthlings have been informed of their purpose as well as the name of their master. Through the course of their training, they have been literally whipped into shape J’asha, cruel but necessary in order to prepare the Earthlings for what awaits them in the Pit. They have also been promised their freedom if they can win ten battles in the Pit. Little did they know that a fifteen year veteran waits at the last bout of the tournament.

Chapter 2: The Pit Chp2-2
On the sixth day, one day before the tournament, they arrive at Drakestone after three days of being at sea. The slaves are still in chains and kept locked inside their cages. The cages were loaded into a wagon and pulled the rest of the way to Meera’s establishment. Once there, the slave fighters were unloaded into another, much larger, holding cell. They are given time to eat and rest before a final day of training.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyMon May 18, 2015 9:28 am

For Agnes
The sun rose up, flooding the windows of an old building known as the Healthy Lion inn, or at least would be if it wasn't popularised as "Carrie's inn" due to a local folk tale a few years ago, forcing the owners to rename in order to cash-in on it. The contruction of the building datees back over 60 years and has been handed down for three generations of the Whitmoor family, currently owned by an old lady named Jessebelle Whitmoor. The location itself was to be found near the sea, but removed away enough from the docks to advoid the most unpleant scents that emanated from there. Despite it's location and name, the inn is sufferng from a lack of clientele for some time, due it's distance from the pits, so it's forced to charge quite a bit less than lady Jessebelle would desire. During her searches after the encounter with the freelances, Agnes found this to be a cheap, comfortable place to be in, being able to afford several days in it without any problems if needed.

For Sakuya
And as the sun rose in the horison for Drakestone, so did a single, large ship become visible as well, having calmly drifted through the night to it's location. A vessel that carried a great number of people and came from the city states of Ramoah, a ship that did this trip bi-monthly, right before the bigger tourneaments in the pits. WHile they tended to reach shore three days before the fights, due bad wether they ended up being somewhat late, but still in time. Sakuya Inutsuki was between the intinerant headed for Drakestone and just an hour after sighting shore was able to step on firm land again. The travel expenses left the wolfqin with only about 100 gil to her name and now was in a bustling city, surrounded by the shouts of town criers adventising the pits and their fighters.

(OOC I am going to post my Pc post and mod post together so as to not double post.)

PC Post

William stretched after the long trip in the cramped cage.  He marveled at the last week of training.  He had thought he was in shape for track in field but this week had shown him there were levels of training he had never imagined.   Finished stretching he sat down to eat the meal that had been provided.   As he ate he wondered if the training they were going thru was the same sort of training that US soldiers went through back in the States.  But sadly neither of his companions looked to be soldiers, they both looked to be his age.  Early on he had wondered if they were classmates of his.  But he never brought it up.  It was embarrassing to admit he had never bothered to memorize his classmates names or faces.

He finished his meal and closed his eyes where he was sitting.  A nap before training began again would be nice.  He wondered if he could get a hold of paper and a quill he wanted to journal his days here.  Maybe make a monster manual of the creatures he encountered in this land.  That was assuming he survived the pits long enough to explore on his own.  It was with that disquieting thought he nodded off for a quick thought.  he would worry about surviving when the time to survive came.

MOD post

Nigel Stood in the training hall.  He was waiting for the club Initiates to arrive.  He had also sent an invite to Sir Thomas to come to this meeting.  The rest of the clubs were already assembled.   So he stood waiting for The initiates, Decimus had gone looking for them.  The big tournament was coming up tomorrow, and he had allowed the two initiates and Sir Thomas the use of the barracks and training grounds for the last week since they arrived.  He sincerely hoped they would agree to fight with the Clubs in this upcoming tourney,  he really didn't care about the other stables.  If they won it would be great for the guild.  However what he really wanted was to defeat the fighters from the Spades.  He wanted to show that quality fighters came from finding quality, not from forcing prisoners coerced into fighting for you.   He had a lot of hope for the three fighters he had met last week.  He mulled this over as he awaited their arrival.

The blond knight of Padilla had received an invitation to a meeting with the freelance from the week before. After being assured that it wasn't a recruitment scheme, he was happy to accept the free lodging. The use of the training grounds was a nice bonus, as for all that he didn't take a single hit in the two fights he had with the Spades, he still felt he wasn't up to par just yet. He had more work to do.

Striding into the training hall, he chose a place on the and leaned up against it, arms crossed as he waited for Nigel to get things underway. He hoped this wouldn't take too long.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyTue May 19, 2015 2:56 am

Agnes Nera at Healthy Lion Inn

A beautiful day awaited Agnes. The cool breeze keeping her skin soft silky smooth and sweat free. Her bare skin came in contact with the silk sheets of the warm bed. The sun light came in from the window through the red satin curtains, illuminating the room. She repositioned her arms around the soft white pillow she had been hugging for the last eight hours.~ Her cute nose and her sweet pink lips was pressed onto the pillow even deeper as she tightened her embrace and her long pink hair lay still, waiting for her next head movement.

Agnes like to sleep with very few clothes on or with nothing at all, this time it was the later. As she started waking up she squeezed her thighs together and positioned the pillow in between them. She moaned as she moved her hips front and back, grinding ever so gently on the soft pillow.~ A faint smile appears from her face, she presses her face deeper into the pillow and bites it with her perfect white teeth, her lips tasting the silk pillow covers.~

The cold breeze made her feel a bit chilly making her goosebumps appear and pink n****** erect. They were sensitive and each time they rubbed against the soft pillow, she would moan while half asleep.~ Finally Agnes opens her beautiful red eyes, just a peek, and sees the sun lighting up room before closing them again to catch just a few more minutes of that lovely sleep she was having.~

She inhales excitingly and makes that sour looking face when one wakes up before reopening her eyes and keeping them open long enough this time to stare at the ceiling. The ceiling was less lovely compared to the ambiance of the room. She got this place for a low price thankfully she still had some stuff to sell so she could pay for this room. She was reminded while staring at the ceiling about the almost incident last week in the alley. But she believes them to be irrelevant now and focused her mind on more pressing matters like getting out of bed and taking a warm bath.~ She did just that~

Agnes slowly slide her legs one at a time down the bed and pushed herself up with her hands. She walked towel rack and wrapped one around her body and one around her hair, right before heading into the bath. Unfortunately the bath was outside her room and was public, cons of being in a cheap room. But it didn't bother Agnes that much, she had been in this Inn for a week and had been in and out of the bath for at least twice a day.~ She went into the bath and hung her towel on the hunger before dipping into the hot water.~

The water felt good on her skin it released lots of cold spots she had from sleeping naked through the cold night in a room alone. Under the water she rubbed her feet together, she was still a child and had been plagued with the same illness most children have, playfulness.~ She dipped her mouth under water and made bubbles while she looked across the room for anyone that might be her eye candy for the day.~ Usually it was the old woman who had so many wrinkles on her body that it made Agnes dizzy just trying to count them all. However there was no one in the bath at this time~ Agnes sat in the bath and played with the water while waiting for her fingers to prune.~

PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyTue May 19, 2015 11:35 am

Maria stretched as she woke up on the morning of the last day of training. Sir Gene had taken Eishi with him somewhere. "I'm taking him to the nearest landmass." That's all he had said. She hoped that didn't mean he was trying to run off with him, but she really could only hope. Once she was done fighting for Meera she would go look for them. But for now, she figured she would look for one of the other humans that came in the 'airplain' that Eishi spoke of. Specifically the red-haired one that was forced to stab Eishi. She hadn't gotten a chance to speak to her the entire trip and wanted to make sure she wasn't feeling guilty for it. If she did, she likely wouldn't last long in the Pits. "Well, let the hunt begin~!"

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyTue May 19, 2015 1:17 pm

Location: Drakestone, Meera's Establishment, Large Cell.

Yui found herself back in the routine of training daily for three days, helping to take her mind off of what she had done and allowing her to focus and slowly get a hold of herself. She put her all into the training she was allowed to do, using it as a way to both get stronger and give her something to focus on that was familiar to her. On the third day she was led to a ship, then led beneath the deck where she was chained to another slave and locked in a cage.

She ate when she was able to do so, but did so reluctantly as she tried to control her anger over being both in a cage and chained. She used the knowledge of earning her freedom as a means of calming herself, considering the option of killing J'Asha after the fact every now and then as she remembered the fond training memories involving him. Pushups rewarded with kicks to the side were a very fond memory, one that made the thought of killing the cat-man a very rewarding experience.

But then the image of stabbing that young boy flashed in her head, making her have doubts about killing the cat-man. She wasn't a murderer and she wasn't going to go on some crazy killing spree, she thought. But she would be fighting others at some point, who wouldn't hesitate to kill her. Does that make them bad people, who deserve to die? She couldn't really tell, but she knew that she would need to fight and kill to cut her ties with Meera.

She was trying to rationalize killing others in her mind during the many long hours she spent on the ship, eventually being led out and placed in a cell that was much larger than her last. Her chains rattled as they were undone and fell to the floor, each link of metal clashing with the one beneath it as the chains fell to the floor. Before she even had time to rub her sore wrists she was handed a bowl of food, some kind of slop that looked like it might be made out of fish residing within. Yui took the bowl off to a far section of the cell and took a seat, crossing her legs Indian Style and bringing the bowl up to her face to take a whiff of whatever the bowls contents were. She inhaled with her nose for a good three seconds, getting as good of a smell as she could of the bowls contents. Whatever it was, it definitely smelled fishy to her.

She took the index and middle fingers of her right hand and pressed them together, dipping them into the bowl and finding that the food was still relatively hot. It thankfully wasn't boiling hot or it would have actually hurt her. Yui used her fingers to scoop up a portion of the fish-looking meat and guide it into her mouth. Her eyes widened as the taste of the fish-looking meat assaulted her taste buds, discovering it tasted very strongly of a mix of both chicken and tuna. The thick slop that the meat resided in was a little salty, but she actually enjoyed how it enhanced the flavor of this mystery meat.

She started to move her hand quickly in order to eat faster when a pain shot through her wrist, causing her to wince. She had forgotten how sore she was from being chained up for so long, her wrist starting to ache from the sudden fast movements she had requested of it. She slowed down her consumption of the food as she looked around the room at the other occupants, giving her joints a bit of a break as she took her time with her food. She spotted William from across the cell and frowned, his calm demeanor still bugged her as she watched him eat his food and curl up for a nap.

It wasn't a bad idea, getting some rest, that is. But she had to take a little longer to eat due to her wrists bothering her, stopping every now and then to rub at her wrists and try to "pop" them to loosen them up a touch. They were pretty stiff for now, but she suspected it wouldn't be long before they were back to normal as she ate her slop. She stayed up later than the rest of the fighters in order to finish her meal and was easily spotted near one of the walls of the large cell, with her back to the metal bars.

Maria quietly darted over to the cell the slaves were held in. Meera likely wouldn't be thrilled with her casually talking to them, after all she'd probably want them focused on the fights ahead so she had to be quiet. The redhead wasn't hard to find, in part due to where she was sitting and also due to her hair color. It stood out compared to many of the other people in the cell with her. Maria sat down behind the girl and whispered at her. Trying her best to keep her voice quiet enough that she wouldn't wake anyone, but loud enough that the girl could hear her. "Psst, Red. You awake~? I wanna talk to you if you don't mind. Just wanna see if you are okay and if you could maybe tell me about where you came from?" She wasn't sure that it would be a good idea to talk about Eishi or anything he mentioned yet, since the girl had been forced to stab him and all.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyTue May 19, 2015 3:35 pm

An eternity of hell--of being bent but unbroken, of feeling pain he didn't think he could feel. Breaking bones he didn't think could be broken and ones that he didn't even break during his stint as snowboarder. But he trudged on even if it was just hate that drove him, despite his body giving in. He would stay defiant every time and had to beaten to submission. Each time would take improve the blows needed to pacify him or make him listen. Pain his mind and body remembered, pain he used to grow stronger to know battle, to meet it first hand.

William's question before Meera's announcement was stuck in his head, though he never told the answer to William or the Red-haired woman. He held the answer close to his mind. He was gonna endure this hell, and become a demon of said hell if need be. That was what kept him going, as all notion of going home. Or "Home" itself was gone. The laughing at the warm cottages during events, the warm food and the soft beds. It may have been unfulfilling to him back then or maybe even now. But it sure beats the hell out of being beaten, treated like some commodity and stuffed in a prison with barely any clothes to keep out the cold pavement or the dirt on the cells they were in.

He opened his eyes the moment he heard slight clinking of chains,  like ringing although more grating on the ears. The boat travel had ended after 3 days, and he had slept through it. Maybe it was his fear of the sea, the fear of unable to see and control the situation that makes him fear large bodies of water. Or maybe he feared whatever creature that lurked there beneath that could eat him.

Just like the human mind and heart.

Stare into the abyss long enough, and you'll soon find it staring back at you. He grimly thought.

His body still aching from the beating and the torture training, Sylvan stood up groggily, as even though they were in a ship, it still rocked back and forth a bit, being moved by the gentle waves. He planted his feet firmly on the ship's wooden boards and walked out with the other slaves that were forming a straight line. The glare of the morning sun coupled with the heat kissed wind greeted him as he went down the ramp that was connecting the ship to the docks. Sylvan had to raise both his hands slightly to cover his eyes as they were bound together by cold steel chains, his eyes narrowed down to accustom itself to the bright surroundings and to the eventual noise happening at the docks. Where trade and a lot more other things happen.

They were taken into an open field away from the prying judgmental eyes of the people and then one by one the chains were set loose from them. Sylvan looked at his sore wrists, and then opened and closed his hands, clenching them every time they closed. His facial expression contorted to a mix of anger, humiliation and sadness. He let himself linger on it, if only for a moment. Remembering what it feels like as it would help drive him to live, to fight, and then eventually grow strong to get back on the people that did this to him, to them.

He closed his eyes and basked in the sunlight after being inside a ship's stuffy cargo bay for almost a few days. He preferred cloudy and perhaps rainy weather, But he'll take what he can right now--after all beggars can't be choosers. And then his reprieve was broken, as they were put in a wagon like domestic animals for the slaughter. Which they were, which made the humiliation sting worse. They soon arrived in a dark and dank establishment and they were set inside a bigger cage, bigger doesn't necessarily mean better however.

He listened to J'asha announce how they'll be given "Rest" before they are sent to fight to the pits.

"More like to die" He whispered with a snarl.

Now given "freedom" or what they can have of it. Sylvan instead walked away from most of the people inside the cage,  disregarding the food handed out to them. Sylvan sat down and then meditated as he cannot practice shadow fight inside this cage with the people lumped around him. All the moves he remembered done to him, all the pain. Inside the very core of his being, he remembered how J'asha would lunge at him with such ferocity. And he practiced, and trained, in his mind, how he was gonna fell the beast, for if he needed to be free, He knew he needed to kill J'asha.

He endured hell. He wasn't gonna die now for it. His fists clench as his face contort into hate even when his eyes were closed. The desperation was killing him softly.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 12:24 am

It had been a week since Danny had reached Drakestone, and everything was going better than expected, all things concidered. Between the offer to enter under the Club's rooster in the pits for a quick buck, free lodging and a training area, it was close to jackpot... But gil still refused to rain from the heavens for some reason. Regardles, this was the last day before giving his answer to Ser Nigel about the tourneament as well as entry into the clubs proper. Deryn already had an answer for both of those, and those would soon be given, as he was called to the freelances hall by Decimus. As Danny made way to where the old knight Nigel was, he made sure to give a little wave to the spade that he forced to pay back for the uniform that was blown off him. But just a piece of gil, to teach some humility to the wanker.

As fun as that was, it was time to put his choice into words. Danny certainly felt more relaxed than a week ago, not having been in a cramped boat with a bunch of smelly mercenaries, but instead in a open barrac with slightly-less smelly mercenaries. Quite an improovement. Aproaching Ser Nigel, the recently bathed and now shirt-wearing brawler spoke up. "Well, i heard you wanted the answer about the deal we alll had aye? Ain't speaking for the other two, but i'm in for participating in the pits. But as for joining the club's cluub officially, ain't happening. Not planning on stayin' in this island for long. But after i'm done winning in the pits, i'm wlling to take any job you got in the mainland for a small comission." Perhaps a bit less polite that he should, but that was pretty much Danny's plans. He heard about Nigel's plans from the other folk at the barraks and planned on quitting one or two matches after the bout with the spades. He was proud of his fighting skills, but Danny wan't foolish enough to risk his neck against the most veteran pit fighters. He already knew the fame of a number of them... And he had no darn chance.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 1:12 am

Location: Drakestone, Meera's Establishment, Large Cell.

Yui was quietly eating her slop when she heard a voice behind her. She spun herself around without getting up in order to face the bars and whoever was talking to her through them, immediately recognizing the catlady from when she had stabbed the boy. She remembered the little smirk the cat lady had, her face twisting into one of anger, followed by sadness as the image of the boy she had stabbed appeared in her mind. The experience was brief and she regained her composure almost immediately, letting go of the bowl with one of her hands and reaching out towards Maria very quickly.

But she grabbed a bar near her instead, pain shooting through her wrist as she reconsidered harming the girl. The cat lady was checking on her well being, or at least claimed she was doing so and seemed to want to know where she came from. She could at least try to entertain a little bit of conversation in return for checking up on her, since few showed any level of kindness in the pits.

Yui set the bowl of food down and let go of the bar, signing an explanation that she was on a plane bound for London and that it had crashed. But she realized that the cat lady probably could not understand her and probably didn't even know she could not talk, so she moved her mouth as if to speak and pointed to it, making an X with two of her fingers.

She couldn't really figure out how to explain anything since nobody seemed to read sign language, so she did her best to explain by making very simple representations of things with her hands. She made a "bird" with her hands and had it flap through the air to represent the plane, before driving it into the ground and then pointing to herself. It was basic and probably did not make any sense, but she was hoping it would at least make some.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 2:08 am

Sakuya stretched as she walked off the boat, this was her first time in Drakestone and it really was quite a lovely looking place, but even from the docks it could be seen that this place had a bit of a different atmosphere from other places she visited. She moved out from the docks, walking along the main road towards the city's center, her usual way to get a feel for the place. It was clear that this place didn't shy away from things like slavery, which made her wonder what kind of life her mother would have led had she been raised here, and not in Riverun. It also became quite evident that a big fighting spectacle would be happening soon in a place called the Pit.

This all seemed very interesting to her, but for now she needed to find a cheap place to lay her head, to train, and to get some info. As such she poked around looking for any training halls or guilds as well as cheap inns. It was clear that while this Wolfgirl was cute she had seen her fair share of scraps from the bandages over her knuckles and the condition of the Katana on her back.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 4:23 am

Location: Drakestone Island (City gate)

It has barely been a week since his first arrival in M'hirr.  What was originally a routine supply run for the "Guild" was in fact an eye opener to the growing changes happening that Svendas was not fully aware of despite his longevity.  Not only that, he was tricked in buying fake rings and objects from an Elder Nyanqin who told him they were artifacts imbue with powerful magic.  He should have realized it before hand that they were fake but the possibility they were indeed powerful artifacts outweigh the potential to be fakes and couldn't allow such items to roam around freely as there are still individuals in the world who'd use them to bring harm and calamity to the world.

But despite the rings and artifacts being fake he made some close observations about their characteristics and makings.  The runes might be written to perfection but the materials couldn't be deceived to those who know either their craftsmanship or has lived long enough to learn such things.  Svendas deduced that the fake items may have originated from the Island of "Drakestone" and that should where he was going to be heading to next despite that it's one of the few locations that the "Guild" was not welcome in any forms.

Without any money to charter a boat to the Island, Svendas smuggled himself onto a ship and blending in with the passengers on way to Drakestone.

Now having finally arrived in Drakestone, he can't afford to have the locals notice him in any ways cause if the locals didn't appreciate him in M'hirr then it's definitely far worse for him in Drakestone.  Brandishing a robe to conceal himself, he made his way to the city's entrance gate and surveyed his surroundings while keeping his identity a secret.  His only concerns in his disguise is the large wrapped blade on his back which makes him somewhat standout from the crowd by still, he has no choice but to move forward.

What awaits him in the new land...

PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 5:39 am

For Agnes

Fifteen minutes after initially entering the bath, a door opened behind Agnes with a slow dragging on the floor, as the wood had bloated slightly from the humidity, adding more scratches to the visible arc that year of usage left on the wooden floor. The one who opened the door was noone other than lady Jesebelle herself, and behind her a unfamiliar face of a 20-something years old young woman that dressed herself in a somewhat tacky manner, with large hoop earings that anyone used to  handling jewlery could tell was fake gold and a highly visible green dress that had two layers to itself, despite the island's climate. A small draft revealed the material to be extremely light, however. It was the aged and wrinkly lady Jessebelle that first spoke thought. "Young lady, the way you stay in that bath everyday, you might see Carrie's ghost one day. Don't you know the story of how her lover drowned her in this very bath?" Honestly, it was discovered she was actually strangled in her room then thrown here to hide the body while the man escaped in a boat, but she figured the drowning was more dramatic, and has told the story as such for a while now.

Looking around at the lack of other people around, the old lady sighed and made some motions to the younger lady that moved away without much to say, but had a clearly unamused expression. "The ships from the mainland are getting here today, so i'l need to vacate the inn after lunch to clean up everything for the night. Be a darling and don't linger in the bath too much, will you? The first pit fights start two hours after sun's peak, maybe you should go spend your time there, watch a bunch of fools cut each other to ribbons... Or you could look for a boyfriend, being the rosebud you are. I don't really care as long as you leave until dusk. Said the old lady before going away. But before disapearing into the corridor she stated "Oh, and that was my grand-grandaughter, she'll be taking over the inn next week."

For Sakuya

The wolfqin wandered around in search of something, and both through criers, city chatter and even very eye-catching posters were soon giving her informations. "Did you hear? That freelance guild got some foreigners to fight on their side. Wich ones? Ahhh... The magemashers, i think?" "It's a shame miss Jessebelle is finally stepping down from Carrie's inn. She aways gave some discount to the people who came to see the fights, i hear." "But she's so far away from the city's center... If you can afford a bit extra, i'd recommend the south wall." "MONDAS MONDAS MONDAS, COME SEE THE BLOODBATH IN THE PITS!" And many others as well. The city was absolutely bustling in antecipation for it's main attraction, travellers and locals alike. Moving in the main street was becoming harder by the moment, some people going a far as taking their itinerary to the roofs, much to the city militia's annoyance. Many optons presented themselves for those willing to catch them.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 9:10 am

(Double post ahoy!)
For Svendas

The boat that carried the half-alferian was one of the cheaper boats, meant to transport lower-class citizens at a cheap tarrif at the price of space and being forced to dock outside of the city gates, unlike most other vessels that aproached the enriching city. While the grand majority of the passagers were Nyanqin, the sheer number of them coupled with the humans that worked as sailors allowed the trip to proceed without many questions towards the stowaway. Upon making contact with the dry land of the city, the passagers were short of pushed out of the ship, but they didn't mind, being too focused on what was to come: Corner seats at one of the few arenas that allowed fights to the death... At least, ones that were public. Along with the pectators there were warriors, but few carried weapons as impressive as Svendas'. Upon the aproach of the large crowd, the city guards prepared a "corridor" of sorts to the sides of the gates. There were far too many far too exited to properly stop and question, so this was the alternative found.

As the nyanqin, sailors and the disguised Svedas passed the gates, the eyes of the city guards ran through all of them, and every so ofter, they would push through the crowd and grab one of the people inside for questioning. This was a ritual many were used to, so there wasn't really much in terms of animosity or tension. Despite standing out a bit, the guards did not aproach the man with a sword strapped to his back. Wether it was to advoid conflict with someone that has a great reach in a crowded area or wether it's because they simply did not have interest was hard to tell. Concidering the glare some guards gave as Svendas finally passed the checkpoint, it pointed to the former. Once inside the city proper, the crowd that came with the ship started to merge with the population that was already there, bloating the streets with bodies going everywhere, the sound of gossiping and boasting filled the air and the smell of sweat, spices and other selling goods started to assault the sense of those comming near the "market" that was formed by travelling merchants that just arived in the city.

Sakuya stopped briefly to make a plan, the street seemed to be getting more packed by the second. She decided to check out this Freelancer's Guild she had heard about from the criers. She took the cue of the people on the roof and started to free run across roofs. She couldn't afford to waste too much time dealing with the increasing traffic.

Despite her miko like robes she moved skillfully and gracefully, having become so used to it from her years of wearing that style. The robe flowed behind her, flickering in the air, making it appear like quite a display to anyone who happened to look. Thankfully her Katana was tightly secured so it wouldn't slip off and fall to the people below.

After a long freerunning sprint she ducked to the side and hid from any possible guards who would be angry and to catch her breath. She then headed to the inside of the freelancer's guild.

The girl was trying to use her hands to speak. Maria guessed it would be quieter than talking, but she didn't understand much. Until she pointed at her mouth and made an 'X'. Maria watched very closely after that. Once the redhead stopped for a moment Maria whispered back to her. "I wanna make sure I got this right. You can't talk and the metal bird crashed with you? Did I get that right?" She hoped she did, though she also hoped she didn't make the girl upset by trying to talk to someone who couldn't talk. Maria was a very carefree person, but her father did teach her to try to be respectful to other people.

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 10:49 am

Agnes Nera, Carrie's Inn

The hot water did wonders for Agnes' already beautiful skin. She closed her eyes for a bit just to rest and laid her head back~ "Mmmm... " a soft delightful moan escaped her lips. The temperature of the water was perfect to release the tension building up in her deep muscles.~ She was also feeling slightly aroused and was contemplating if she was going to release more tension in the bath.~

It proved to be one of those quiet relaxing days that she had always wanted.~ "Gods I hope that old lady doesn't show up with her saggy old tits~" To her rotten luck, fifteen minutes after she went in the old lady comes in the bath as well. It was the same old lady she mentioned a while ago.~ "Ugh...~" Agnes sighed with much dislike. Her mood was ruined, seeing saggy old Jessebel's saggy tits that was low enough to reach her saggy belly.~

Agnes dipped haf of her head down an dmade bubbles while the old lady was talking and being old.~ There she goes again with her ghost stories Agnes didn't pay her much mind she was busy making bubbles.~

Old lady Jessebel kept on talking but Agnes' attention veered elsewhere. Her vision turned into a fisheye like view and her hearing dulled. She heard a low volume ringing in her head~ She blinks and it was like in slow motion. She look underwater and sees her hands have taken a different color and appearance. Her nails were long and dark, and her hand had a lighter almost pale white complexion.~

Agnes snaps out from her~ weird episode and gets out of the bath. "I'm sorry I need to go.~" She storms out of the bath in a hurry to her room ad got changed into herclothes quickly. "What is happening to me~¿♡" she pondered. Her life seemed to have taken a drastic turn after her trip from Doragul. Agnes needed fresh air and some space. She walked out of the Inn, forgeting to close the door behind her, and walked to the edge of the city.~

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 4:11 pm

Location: Drakestone streets

Svendas breathed a sigh of relief as he was successfully able to infiltrate into the city without being caught by the guards which as he predicted noticed the rather large cloth wrapped blade on his back but was unsure why they turned a blind eye to him rather than sound the alarm and capture him.  Regardless he couldn't afford to let down his guard and will have to continue concealing his "Guild Insignia crystal amulet" and the "Mark of the Dawn" which is located on his left arm.

As he walked further into the city, he saw the market was very busy with selling and trading of spices, foods and other goods; the atmosphere was almost like back at M'hirr but on a larger scale.  Svendas decided to check out some of the shops nearby but this time he is cautious about who he might come into contact with.  The chatter of the locals was great a many and might provide him with some information about what's going on in the city or possibly where he might begin his search for forgery makers that forge fake artifacts like the ones he bought from the old Nyanqin and hopefully put an end to their ring.

to himself, "I better keep not only my eyes but also my ears alert cause this IS the last place I'd want a confrontation at."

Svendas scratched the back of his head and sighed " *sigh*After all of THIS I just know i'm going to get an ear full once I get back home"

With that, Svendas proceeded deeper into the market square inside the City of Drakestone but ever wary of his surroundings..

Chapter 2: The Pit Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: The Pit   Chapter 2: The Pit EmptyWed May 20, 2015 4:19 pm

Meera's Stables

Tomorrow was the start of the Grand Fighting Pits Tournament. The Grand tournament is held once a year and for three straight years now no one has been able to defeat the resident champion, a giant warrior named Barako. The fights are usually four versus four but in some instances the committee adds in wildcards to add to the entertainment factor. This year would be Meera's last and she hopes to regain her stable's honor by winning the tournament and defeating the giant Barako. Her victory rests on the shoulders of four people, three slaves and one very capable agent.

Meera was busy dealing with the paper works for the tournament while her men were busy preparing the grounds for practice. J'asha was prowling the cages, watching the prisoner like a hound watches the mailman from over the fence. He spots Maria talking with one of the slaves and he immediately confronts her. "Step away from the cage Maria! Don't you have something more important to do?" he said enforcing his dominance over her.

Before Maria could respond, a young slave nyanqin working for Meera comes and delivers a message to Maria. "Madam Maria Nightshade, Master Meera requests you presence in her chambers. Please proceed immediately."
